FAQ:

How much money does the association make off of membership dues and other things?

Answer: The association is a nonprofit organiztion. The money paid for dues goes back into the day to day operations of the association. Any extra money left over is being put towards student scholarships. From time to time the association does partner with for profit businesses that offer certifications. These certifications are required or advantagous for you as an instructor. These are top of the line certifications that will put the teacher in the position to give their students the best chance to succeed in the criminal justice field after high school, along with giving the teacher better job security with their school. These certifications also count when it comes to Perkins money. The money paid for these certifications goes straight to those for profit businesses, unless a student fundraiser is being conducted in conjuction with the certification classes or there are operating expenses the association has to pay for (building usage, utilities, etc.) to put on the event. The association does not make a profit off of these events and there is not money going into anyone's pocket. A monthly account of finances for the association will be coming soon to answer any questions you may have.
